Rogers recently released 2012 stats and findings on Canadian mobile and internet usage. It appears that Nomophobia – the fear of being without one’s mobile phone – is on the rise. Sixty-five percent of the 1,040 smartphone and tablet users surveyed by Vision Critical, said that they’d feel naked without their smartphone and internet access. Another fifty-one percent admitted to sleeping with their phone in bed with them or on their nightstand – a leap of 12% more than those surveyed just last year! For more fun and interesting facts about Canadians and their increased intimacy with their mobile devices, check out this infographic compiled by Rogers. You may find it surprising how many of us take our phones to the bathroom!
